What is My Green Home Worth ?

The demand for energy efficient features has been growing significantly over the past several years.  Solar panels, EnergyStar appliances and other green features are still relatively new to the market and it is still unclear the value these added features give to buyers, lenders and appraisers.  There is simply a lack of information about the financial benefits of a green home. 

Last week the department of energy announced their launch of an initiative to spread the word about the value of residential energy effiiciency.  They've partnered with many organizations including the National Association of Realtors to provide solid information to realtors and appraisers about the financial impacts of green upgrades.
